Okey

The Turkish game "Okey," which is derived from the Israeli game Rummikub, is very popular in Turkey and has gradually become a national table game. A set of Okey consists of 106 tiles, which come in 4 different colors and are numbered from 1 to 13. Each number has 8 tiles, with 2 tiles of each color: red, yellow, blue, and black. Additionally, the game includes two special tiles called "jokers," which can be used as substitutes for any other tile. In the game, 4 players take turns drawing tiles, and the dealer takes three sets of tiles (five tiles on each turn), totaling 15 tiles in hand. The other three players also take three sets of tiles (five tiles on the first two turns, and four tiles on the final turn), totaling 14 tiles in hand. Afterward, the players begin to draw and discard tiles in a manner similar to mahjong, in a counterclockwise direction, starting with the dealer. Each player must quickly form sets with the tiles in their hand in order to win. There are two ways to form sets: a sequence of the same color or a set of the same number with different colors. However, both types of sets must consist of at least 3 tiles. Unlike mahjong, in Okey, it is possible to have more than 3 tiles in a set.
